BURT MUNRO ART PRINT

Inspired by the design work on Burt Munro’s original 1920 Indian Scout motorcycle shell. I repurposed the Indian and headdress illustration to be a front on, symmetrical design – supported by pinstriping and typography that relate. Being a bit worse for wear, the scrapes and blistering featured on Munro’s bike have been superimposed onto the art piece for added depth and detail.  The artwork was mounted and laminated onto an A1 artboard.

HOKONUI MOONSHINE ART PRINT

The Hokonui Moonshine Festival celebrates the infamous history of moonshine in Southland, New Zealand. This art print captures the history in the form of contemporary illustration. With nods to the labels that were designed by moonshiners, the design features a skull and crossbones and some of the original phrases. Also featured are pipes, gauges and symbols that relate to the distilling process. The art work was printed on corrugated iron to reflect on the sheds that were used for distilling.
